ABS Conference

Challenges to the Covenant: A one day meeting to be held in Birmingham on Saturday 24th June, 2000

The aim of the meeting is to explore the current challenges facing the Bahá'í Community and in particular the Covenant. At the completion of the meeting, the participant will have an understanding of historical and current challenges to the Covenant, and how they are being addressed. It is hoped that this meeting will go some way towards preparing the Bahá'í Community to address some of the current challenges that we are facing.
The program will be highly interactive, with as much time set aside for consultation as for the talks. The speakers will be Barney Leith, Shahriar Razavi and Augusto Lopez-Claros.
The meeting will be held at the Unitarian New Meeting Hall, 31 Ryland Street, Five Ways, Edgbaston, Birmingham B16 8BL. The Unitarian New Meeting Hall is in central Birmingham, within a 5 minute taxi ride from Birmingham New Street train station or a 5 minute walk from Five Ways train station. The meeting commences at 10.30am and finishes at 4.30pm.
For further information, contact Mr. Masoud Afnan, tel: 01564 703176, or write to Lota Cottage, Wood End Lane, Wood End, Solihull, W. Mids. B94 5DT or e-mail: masoud.afnan@virgin.net
Pre-registration is essential as places will be limited to 70. The registration fee is £2.50 to members of the ABS, or £7.50 for non-members.
